What profile are we looking for?

Hard requirements

• You speak at least French and English
• You live in or close to Paris, France
• You have great home internet and can work from home in peace
• You use GNU/Linux as your operating system
• You enjoy solving problems and crafting elegant code
• You can show your past contributions to open source projects, either through your GitHub/GitLab profile, or anything similar
• You are independant and can manage your tasks by yourself

We’re looking for someone that actually likes programming. If you’ve never contributed anything to the open source community and have no personal project to show, this is an indication that you’re only producing code because your boss asked you to, not because you love it.

Profile A: Junior FullStack Developer (posted August 2024)

Someone able to work on eLabFTW and more. Technologies:

• PHP (Symfony/Twig)
• Typescript (mostly Vanilla)
• MySQL
• Docker
• python, go, bash, git, you know the drill…

Ideally, the candidate has a scientific background and is able to understand the needs of the users community, essentially composed of scientists.

The job mainly consists of working on eLabFTW, but also the tools around it, some websites, contributing to the ELN Consortium, interacting with other projects, other communities, etc…

The small size of the company means you’ll get various tasks to achieve.
